QUESTION

I have installed the Keil development tools and would like to know what Keil-specific drivers are installed on my PC.

ANSWER

The Keil development tools install the following drivers:

  1. Security Key (Dongle) Device Driver
This driver is required for access to the Security Key and is listed under My Computer - Properties - Device Manager. The driver is listed when you use View - Show hidden devices under Non-Plug and Play Drivers - Sentinel.
  2. C166 OCDS LPT (Wiggler) Device Driver
This driver is installed for access to the Infineon C166/XC166 OCDS interface via the LPT port. It is listed under My Computer - Properties - Device Manager. The driver is listed when you use View - Show hidden devices under Non-Plug and Play Drivers - Keil_LPT.
  3. Keil EPM900 (LPC Emulator/Programmer) USB Device Driver
This driver is installed for the Keil EPM900 Philips LPC Emulator/Programmer. It is listed under My Computer - Properties - Device Manager. The driver is listed under Universal Serial Bus controllers - Keil USB LPC900 EPM.
  4. Keil ULINK2 (USB-JTAG Adapter) USB Device Driver
ULINK2 uses standard Windows USB drivers. It is configured as a Human Interface Device (HID) and is directly supported by Windows operating systems. No additional or ULINK2-specific drivers are required.
  5. Keil ULINKPlus (USB-JTAG Adapter) USB Device Driver and
Keil ULINKPro (USB-JTAG Adapter) USB Device Driver
These drivers install automatically at the end of the MDK tools installation. Windows 7, 8 or 10 detect the ULINKPlus or ULINKPro adapter when first attached to the USB port, and execute the required drivers automatically.
