ULINK: WHERE TO FIND THE ULINK2 DRIVER

Information in this article applies to:

  • ULINK2 USB-JTAG Adapter
  • RealView MDK Version 3.03a or higher

QUESTION

I have purchased a ULINK2 USB-JTAG Adapter and now I am searching for the USB driver. I cannot find any driver for it.  Where is the ULINK2 driver?

ANSWER

ULINK2 does not need any specific drivers. It is configured as a Human Interface Device (HID) and therefore directly supported by Windows 2000, Windows XP and Windows Vista operating systems.

To view the status of the ULINK2 adapter:

  1. Connect the Keil ULINK2 Adapter to your PC.
  2. Right-click on My Computer and open the Properties dialog.
  3. Click under Hardware on Device Manager and select Human Interface Devices.
  4. Open the Properties page for each device. Under General — Location you can find the name Keil ULINK2 which indicates that the ULINK2 adapter is connected properly.

You may have to upgrade your software to use ULINK2. Please see the ULINK: ULINK2 ADAPTER NOT RECOGNIZED Knowledgebase Article in the SEE ALSO section below for the versions of the devolopment packages that support ULINK2.
