Monitor Configuration

The MCB251 Evaluation Board includes several pre-configured monitors (MON251) which are programmed in EPROM.

The MON251 Target Monitor provides a direct interface for source-level, symbolic debugging with the dScope Debugger.  Use the serial port of your PC to download and debug target programs on the MCB251 Evaluation Board.

MON251 allows you to:

  • Display memory contents in ASCII and hexadecimal,
  • Interactively change memory contents,
  • Display and change register contents,
  • Initialize memory with constant values,
  • Disassemble program code,
  • Assemble in-line code,
  • Run programs with breakpoints in real-time,
  • Single-step through your program,
  • Step over subroutines,
  • Upload and download Intel HEX files and OMF-251 object files.
