These advanced techniques are not needed very often, but give a good understanding about the µVision capabilities.

• Start External Tools to interact with programs during the build process of the application. This feature is useful for pre- or post-processing. For example, some emulators require the creation of symbol information.
• Redirect Output for Object and Listing Files to other folders.
• Customize or Add Devices that are not listed in the Device Database.
• Create a Library File for being used with other projects.
• File and Group Specific Options can be set for individual groups or even a single file (see below).
• Different Compiler and Assembler Settings can be set for individual groups or even a single file (see above).
• File Extensions define the default assignment of a file to a file type.
• Version and Serial Number Information provide installation-specific data useful when support is needed.
• Include Library Modules that should alway be included into a project.
• Use a Custom Translator to preprocess files with a custom specific translator.
