Example Programs

This section describes the sample programs that are included in our tool kits. The sample programs are ready for you to run. You can use the sample programs to learn how to use our tools. Additionally, you can copy the code from our samples for your own use.

Sample programs are found in the folder Examples of each toolchain. Each sample program is stored in a separate folder along with project files that help you quickly build and evaluate each sample program. The examples folder contains several pre-configured projects. 

You may review the following projects when you start using a toolchain:

Example Description
Hello Hello World program. Try this first when you begin using µVision. It prints Hello World on the serial interface and helps you confirm that the development tools work correctly.
Measure Data acquisition system that collects analog and digital signals.
Blinky Simple LED Flasher program to demonstrate I/O control. This sample program is discussed in the chapter Creating Applications.

To begin using one of the sample projects, use the µVision3 menu Project — Open Project and load the project file. The following sections in this chapter describe how to use the tools to build the following sample programs:
