SVCS

The menu SVCS allows configuring and runnig third-party version control systems.

Template File
Specify the SVCS menu configuration file. It is recommended that all members of the software team are using the same template file. Therefore, the template file should be copied to a file server. Example files are provided in the µVision folder (..\Keil\UV4).
User Name
User name that should be used to log into the SVCS system. The user name is passed with the File Code %U in the argument line.
Project Ident
Is the project identification and is an arbitrary string. This string is mandatory in some version control systems. Refer to the description of the system you are using.
Database
File name or path for the database used by the SVCS system. The database string is passed with the File Code %V in the argument line.
Menu Content
Text shown in the SVCS menu. This line may contain Key Codes and File Codes. Shortcuts are defined with a & character. The selected menu line allows you to specify the options listed below.

Command
Program file that is invoked when you click on the SVCS menu item. You can use environment variables as described in Key Sequences to pass arguments.
Run Minimized
Enable this option to execute the application with minimized window.
Arguments
Command line arguments that are passed to the SVCS program file. You may use Key Sequences to pass arguments.
Environment
Environment variables that are set before execution of the SVCS program.
Initial Folder
This is the folder where the SVCS command is executed. Typically it is your project root folder.

Query for

Comment
Allows you to ask for addition information when using the SVCS command. A comment is copied into a temporary file that can be passed with the File Code %Q as argument to the SVCS command.
Revision
Revision can be passed with the File Code %R as argument to the SVCS command.
Check Point
Check Point can be passed with the File Code %C as argument to the SVCS command.
