µVISION: Uninstalling Keil µVISION IDE

SYMPTOM

I'd like to uninstall µVision, what are the correct steps?

RESOLUTION

When uninstalling and you are using a node locked license, it is important to first uninstall your License Identification Code (LIC). To do this:

1. Open µVision.
2. Go to File -> License Management
3. Click on your LIC
4. Click Uninstall
5. The LIC will be replaced with a TRN number
6. A webpage will open. Click submit to finalize the process.

This will free up a seat on your license and allow you to install onto a new computer when you desire.

Next, go to your installation directory and run Uninstall.exe. µVISION is now uninstalled.
