Keil Supports Nuvoton Cortex-M0 Devices

Cambridge, UK: Keil™ announce immediate support for the Nuvoton NuMicro family of devices in the Keil MDK-ARM (Microcontroller Development Kit).

Nuvoton was established in July 2008, as an offshoot from Winbond, to extend its Computer Logic IC product line. Today, Nuvoton offers a range of MCU devices based on ARM7/9 and Cortex™-M0 processors.

The Cortex-M0 processor is ARM's smallest, lowest power, and most energy-efficient processor. Its ultra-low gate count, small silicon area and minimal code footprint make it suitable for applications traditionally addressed by 8- and 16-bit processors.

Nuvoton's NuMicro family of Cortex-M0 devices offers up to 128KB Flash, high-speed UART, SPI, CAN, USB device, and mixed-signal capabilities. Numicro is aimed at data communication, automotive, and industrial control applications.

MDK-ARM

The latest release of MDK-ARM supports all NuMicro Cortex-M0 devices and includes setup files, device-specific views and example projects. MDK features the industry-standard compiler from ARM, the Keil µVision4 IDE, the fully functional RTX RTOS, and sophisticated analysis tools. MDK provides a complete development environment for creating, debugging and verifying embedded applications.
