Keil MCB2130 Board for Philips LPC213x Devices

Plano, TX: Keil Software extends its development tools portfolio for ARM with the MCB2130 Evaluation Board. The MCB2130 uses the new Philips LPC2138 ARM power microcontroller which is a superset of several other Philips LPC213x device variants. In contrast to other ARM devices, the LPC213x devices require a single 3.3V supply voltage. The LPC2138 offers 512KB high-speed Flash ROM, 32KB RAM, various 32-bit timers, dual 10-bit 8-channel ADC(s), a 10-bit DAC, PWM channels, and 47 GPIO lines.

Getting started with new ARM devices is difficult and time-consuming. Hardware that allows developers to experiment and learn about the new device is required. The MCB2130 provides everything that is required for a single-chip LPC2138 system — two serial interfaces, a speaker, analog input (via potentiometer), and eight LEDs.

An evaluation version of the Keil Development Suite for ARM is provided with the MCB2130. It allows engineers to create ARM programs that may be run on the evaluation board. Extensive program examples introduce ARM7 family programming and are provided ready-to-run on the MCB2130. For programming and debugging, the Keil tools support Flash programming and software debugging via the JTAG interface and the Keil ULink USB-JTAG Adapter (available separately).
