SST Integrates FlashFlex51 SoftICE with Keil µVision2
SST (Silicon Storage Technology, Inc.), a
leader in flash memory technology, now offers FlashFlex51 SoftICE (a
software-based in-circuit emulator) that offers true in-circuit
emulation capabilities through the Keil µVision Monitor-51 interface
without requiring additional on-chip peripheral circuits or external
components.
Using SoftICE, customers can use the popular Keil development
tools to create, download, and debug programs on the SST FlashFlex51
devices. The monitor interface has been completely integrated into
the microcontroller. The user hardware only needs to provide access
to the serial port. Programs are downloaded into the on-chip FLASH
memory using the SST Boot-Strap Loader (BSL). Breakpoints,
watchpoints, and single-stepping are all possible using the SoftICE
interface.
To help you get started investigating this exciting technology,
SST offers the FlashFlex51 BSL Demo Kit which boasts new BSL features
with enhanced Windows software. An improved target board for SST
microcontrollers demonstrates full IAP capabilities of the
FlashFlex51 MCUs through the Boot-Strap Loader, which is factory
pre-programmed into most of the FlashFlex51 microcontrollers.
