DMH Announces SNMP Agent for Dallas DS80C400
Acton, MA: DMH Software announces the availability of its portable
SNMP Agent (snmpv1, snmpv2c, snmpv3) and SMIv2 Management Information
Base (MIB) Compiler for the Dallas Semiconductor DS80C400
TINI® platform. The highly portable Advanced SNMP
Agent code can now be compiled by 8-bit compilers (like the Keil
C51 Compiler) and may be
integrated and used in small, 8-bit systems.
The Dallas Semiconductor TINI® platform
consists of both hardware and software for networking Dallas
microcontrollers. The platform consists of software APIs for
broad-based I/O, a small O/S, and a full TCP IPv4/6 network stack.
TINI currently supports both the DS80C390 and DS80C400
microcontrollers with support planned for future
microcontrollers.
DMH's highly portable Advanced SNMP Agent is integrated with the
Dallas DS80C400 TINI platform C Library software. The snmp-agent for
the TINI platform is available in source code form or as a binary
SDK. Engineering changes required to meet the 8051 CPU architecture
have not compromised features or protocol completeness. A set of
compile-time flags allow you to reduce the code and data size to meet
memory restrictions. The SNMP Agent code was built and tested using
the popular Keil C51 C
Compiler for the 8051.
The Advanced SNMP Agent is highly portable and may be compiled by
8-bit compilers (e.g. 8051). It can be integrated and used in other
small systems based on 8-bit, 16-bit, 32-bit, or 64-bit CPUs. You can
even compile the same SNMP Agent code for w32 or Linux platforms.
This allows you to develop the support for your MIBS in a convenient
development platform. Once your snmp-agent is tested you can compile
it for your 8-bit target.
The DMH SNMP Agent is designed for real-time embedded environment.
It is designed to work with any TCP/IP stack and can be easily
integrated with your IP stack of choice with no need for OS
services.
