Secure device management with Keil MDK

Webinar — Sep 20, 2018 9 am GMT

With millions of connected IoT devices being enabled by low-power, intelligent designs at the edge, the complexity and volume of end nodes requiring device management is growing quickly. Now it is necessary to secure all aspects of device management in addition to the device itself.

In this webinar, Hannes Tschofenig (Senior Principal Engineer at Arm) will describe the standardized device management protocol called 'lightweight machine-to-machine (LwM2M), which is built on Arm's scalable solution for IoT device management - Pelion Device Management. LwM2M uses the Constrained Application Protocol (CoAP) and relies on TLS and DTLS for communication security. This security ensures that remote management, data communication and flexible identity provisioning occurs with secure device access and end-to-end security.

Device-to-Data Platform Built on a Strong Security Framework

Topics covered include:

  • Introduction to IoT device management
  • Overview of LwM2M version 1.0
  • Security of LwM2M and the TLS/DTLS abstraction
  • Hands-on with Pelion Device Management Client and Keil µVision 5
  • Outlook: LwM2M version 1.1
