LICENSE: Flex Licensing Error -1002

Information in this knowledgebase article applies to:

• Keil MDK 5, 5.28 and older

SYMPTOM

I have registered the 7 days MDK-Professional Evaluation License, but building my application results in the following error:

Checkout feature: mdk_pro_eval_armcompiler
...
- Flex error code: -1002
error: failed to check out a license

CAUSE

The 7 days Keil MDK Professional Evaluation License is not compatible with your configuration.

RESOLUTION

• Contact your local distributor to order a free of charge, 30-days limited, MDK-Professional License key (also offered at the License Management Window since Keil MDK 5.29 )
• download the latest version of Keil MDK
• Complete the registration of this Single User License to activate your installation
