µVISION DEBUGGER: RTX Component Viewer error E306: Execution problem

QUESTION

RTXv5 (CMSIS RTOS v2) is used in my project, and the Event Recorder debug feature in µVision is enabled.

Also, I have connected a ULINK2 Debug Adapter. 

However, the Component Viewer RTX RTOS shows the error:

E306: Execution problem - Timeout after 600 mSec in statement

The same project works fine with a ULINKpro Debug & Trace Unit connected.

How can I fix this issue?

ANSWER

The higher the bandwidth of the Debug Adapter connected, the less likely it becomes to run into this issue. Ultimately this is an "overload" and the debugger is unable to retrieve the data quickly enough.

The solution in this case is to replace the ULINK2 Debug Adapter, by i.e. a ULINKpro or a ULINKplus.
