EPM900: Single Stepping on LJMP Instruction at 18Mhz

Information in this article applies to:

  • EPM900 LPC Emulator

QUESTION

Single stepping on a LJMP instruction jumps to the wrong address at 18MHz. Is there a workaround?

ANSWER

Yes. Set a breakpoint at the address where the LJMP jumps to and run the LJMP instruction instead of single stepping. At slower frequencies, such as 12MHz, the single stepping of the LJMP instruction works correctly.
