SWPACK: Support of Heterogeneous Devices missing

SYMPTOM

The Pack Installer of Keil MDK lists heterogeneous devices, that combine an ARM^® Cortex^®-A based computer system and a Cortex®-M microcontroller.

An example is the selection of the i.MX8 processor by NXP with the installation of the corresponding Device Family Pack NXP::MIMX8MD6_DFP:

I see my target listed at the Pack Installer. However, there is no i.MX8 target offered at µVision's device selection:

CAUSE

Heterogenous devices are not supported by the Keil Microcontroller Development Kit (Keil MDK).

RESOLUTION

Heterogenous devices will only be supported by the Arm Development Studio (Arm DS).
