ARMCC: CT.CompilerEM66 is not available with current Toolkit

Information in this knowledgebase article applies to:

• Keil MDK 5.22 and newer
• Arm Compiler V6.6.1 Long Term Maintenance

SYMPTOM

I am registered user of the Keil MDK-Plus Edition (or Keil MDK Essential Edition).

At my project settings I have selected the Arm Compiler V6.6.1 Long Term Maintenance:

At building my project, I see this error message:

ARMClang.exe: error: CT.CompilerEM66 is not available with the current toolkit and license

CAUSE

The Arm Compiler V6.6.1 Long Term Maintenance is intended for the use of the Keil MDK Professional Edition. With any other Keil MDK Edition in use, this error will arise.

RESOLUTION

Unless you are using a license for the Keil MDK Professional Edition, you will need to upgrade your license or purchase a new Arm Compiler Long Term Maintenance license in order to use Arm Compiler 6.6.1.
