SWPACK: Where are the Atmel devices in the Pack Installer?Information in this knowledgebase article applies to:
SYMPTOMIn the Pack Installer, in the Devices tab, I cannot find Atmel devices, any more. MDKv5.23 (or earlier) listed an "Atmel" section. Where are these devices? CAUSEMicrochip announced the completion of the acquisition of Atmel in April 2016. MDK-ARM's Pack Installer and IDE, µVision, have been updated to reflect the acquisition. RESOLUTIONThe Pack Installer lists the devices under a new section, "Microchip", in the Devices tab. Use this section when starting a new project. Inside the IDE, you may go to Project, Options for Target, Device tab to verify that a Microchip part has been selected. If the project also receives several component is missing errors in the run-time environment, related to device-specific software components, first backup the project. Then try upgrading the device family pack (and potentially, a software foundations pack (SFP)) in order to resolve dependencies. SEE ALSOLast Reviewed: Friday, January 8, 2021 | ||||||||||
