MCB1700: USB Host Interface Does Not WorkInformation in this knowledgebase article applies to:
SYMPTOMThe USB host connector on MCB1700 does not work on board revision Vers 1 with an angular USB host connector. Please do not connect any USB device to this USB host connector! This might destroy the USB device because the power supply has reverse polarity! The USB-Device and OTG connector is not affected by this problem. CAUSEThe USB host connector pins are mirrored in the layout by mistake. RESOLUTIONOnly the first production series of the MCB1700 Version 1 boards are affected. All following version 1 boards are populated with an upright version of the USB host connector (plugs in from the top) that corrects the pin assignment. As a workaround, you could replace the angular USB host adapter with an upright version, or you could make an adapter cable where pins 1 <-> 4 and pins 2 <-> 3 are exchanged.
