MCBSTM32: Conditional Breakpoints with STM32 Devices

QUESTION

On my MCBSTM32 board, I want the debugger to break when a variable in my code equals a certain value, so I use the following debug command:

BS Write AD_DbgVal==0x00000041A, 1

But the debugger stops every time the AD_DbgVal value changes. What could be causing this?

ANSWER

STMicroelectronics has acknowledged that earlier versions of their STM32Fxxx devices may exhibit this behavior while debugging. This has been corrected in Rev Z of the STM32F103ZE device.
