QUESTION

I use code banking in my application with a 128KB Flash ROM. When I generate my program, I obtain two Intel HEX files with the file extension *.H00 and *.H01. I need to program these HEX files separately into the Flash ROM at areas 0x0000-0xFFFF and 0x10000-0x1FFFF. Is there any way that I get only one Intel HEX file that contains the complete image from 0x00000 to 0x1FFFF?

ANSWER

Yes. The extended LX51 Linker/Locater and the OHX51 Object Hex Converter generate Intel HEX files in HEX-386 format for a code banking application. The file generated contains the whole application. These tools are available only in the PK51 Professional Developer's Kit.

To use the LX51 Linker, from the Project Menu, select the Select Device item and make sure that Use Extended Linker (LX51) is checked.
