C166: JTAG OCDS Debugger Support

QUESTION

Does Keil Software offer a JTAG debugger for the C161U, C165H, C165UTAH, and XC16x devices?

ANSWER

Yes, OCDS (On-Chip Debugging System) support is built-in to the µVision debugger. This interface is also part of the free evaluation software.

The physical OCDS interface is documented in the help file ..\C166\HLP\OCDS.CHM that comes with the software. You may connect the debugger with Keil ULINK2 or a wiggler interface that is available in the starter kits and connects to a PC parallel port.
