µVISION: Problems Creating HEX Files for Banked Projects

• µVision Version 2.04

QUESTION

I'm creating a banked application using µVision Version 2.04 and C51 V6.00. When I build my application, µVision reports the following message when it runs OC51 to create my absolute object modules for each code bank:

*** USAGE: OC51 banked_object_file

The HEX files are not created. Is there a work-around for this problem?

ANSWER

Yes. This is a known problem with µVision V2.04. V2.04b corrects this issue and is available with C51 V6.00i and later. You may download this update from the following URL: http://www.keil.com/update/.
