Peripheral Simulation

For Analog Devices ADuC7026 — Voltage Reference

Simulation support for this peripheral or feature is comprised of:

  • Dialog boxes which display and allow you to change peripheral configuration.
  • VTREGs (Virtual Target Registers) which support I/O with the peripheral.

These simulation capabilities are described below.

Voltage Reference Dialog

Voltage Reference

The Voltage Reference Dialog controls the simulation of the on-chip, 2.5 volt reference used by the ADC and the DAC.

Reference Control Group

  • REFCON (Reference Control Register) contains the following control settings:
  • Mode (Internal Reference Mode) is set for normal mode and used for ADC conversion. If reset, the internal reference is switched to power down mode and an external voltage reference is used for the ADC.
  • Output Enable (Internal Reference Output Enable) is set to connect the internal 2.5 volt reference to the VREF pin.

Voltage Reference Group

  • VREF is the on-chip, 2.5 volt internal voltage reference.

DAC Reference Group

  • DACREF is the external voltage reference for the DAC. The DAC Controller may select this reference.

ADC Reference Group

  • AVDD (Analog Power) is the 3.3 volt analog power.
