RTX166 Tiny must be configured for the embedded applications you create. Configuration settings are found in the CONF_TNY.A66 and CPUTIMER.INC files which are located in the \KEIL\C166\RTX_TINY\ folder. Configuration options in these files allow you to:

  • Specify the Timer Tick Interval (in machine cycles).
  • Specify the Round-Robin Timeout.
  • Enable or disable Round-Robin Task Switching.
  • Specify the CPU timer used by RTX166 Tiny.

A default configuration of CONF_TNY.A66 is included in the RTX166 Tiny Library. However, to guarantee the configuration used for your application , you must copy the CONF_TNY.A66 file to your project folder and add it to your project.

To customize the RTX166 Tiny configuration, you must change settings specified in CONF_TNY.A66.

  • If you do not include a configuration file (CONF_TNY.A66) in your project, the default configuration file from the library is included automatically. Subsequent changes to the configuration file stored in the library may have adverse effects on the operation of your application.
  • If you need to change the timer used in CPUTIMER.INC, you must rebuild the RTX166 Tiny libraries.
