Introduction

The µVision debug interface allows you to download and debug applications on ADuC83x and ADuC84x devices over the serial interface (UART).

No hardware modifications are required and no additional RAM or ROM resources are allocated for debugging.

The following image shows a typical configuration.

The µVision debugger, together with the Analog Devices debug interface, helps you to easily debug your target programs in real-time. You may:

• Download application code into on-chip flash.
• Debug C or Assembler source code on high level.
• Start application in real-time.
• Single-step though application code.
• Set an unlimited number of breakpoints.
• Watch program variables.
• View and change memory contents.
