Checking Program Output

Start the program running either from the debugger or by cycling power on the board. The LCD panel displays the:

  • Board name.
  • Program name.
  • Light and Temperature as bar graphs.
  • AD Light and AD Temperature HEX values.

Checking Serial Output

  1. Connect a USB A-to-miniB cable to the connector USB Mini (XDS100V2) of the MCU board.
  2. Connect the USB cable to the PC.
  3. Install the min-USB Drivers, if required.
  4. Open a terminal emulation program, such as HyperTerminal, to display the serial data.
  5. Enter a Name for the new connection, for example: MCBTMS570.

  6. Select the PC COM port that is defined in the Device Manager.

  7. Select 115200 Bits per second, 8 Data bits, Parity None, Stop bits 1 and Flow control None.

  8. Click OK. The serial message displays the "AD Light" and "AD Temp" values.
