Checking Serial Output

To check the VOICE program's serial output, connect a Male/Female DB9 serial cable (no longer than 10ft/3m) from the COM1 serial port on the board to an unused COM port on your development PC. Use a terminal emulation program, such as Microsoft Windows HyperTerminal, to display the serial data on your PC monitor.

Note

  • The MCB2140 Evaluation Board is a superset of the MCB2130 Evaluation Board. All MCB2130 examples (BLINKY, SOUND, and VOICE) work with the MCB2140.
