To setup ULINK2 for programming Flash within µVision, follow the steps below:

  1. Connect the ULINK2 to the Cortex Debug connector of the MCB1000 Board.
    MCB1000 board connected to the ULINK2 JTAG Adapter
  2. Power up the MCB1000 Board.
  3. Set the JTAG clock for the ULINK2 adapter.
  4. Configure Flash Programming in the dialog Project — Options for Target — Utilities.

    Options for Target ButtonClick the toolbar button Target Options and select the tab Utilities.

    Use Target Driver Option Set the option Use Target Driver for Flash Programming, then select ULINK Cortex Debugger as the Flash programming tool.

    Update Target Option Check the option Update Target before Debugging to ensure that the Flash ROM gets programmed whenever a debugging session is started.

    Settings Button Click the button Settings to open the Flash Download Setup.

  5. Configure the Flash Download Setup dialog.

    Click the Add button and select the LPC11/xx 122x/ 13xx IAP 32kB Flash algorithm.

  6. Flash Download — RAM for Algorithm In the RAM for Algorithm section, set the Start: parameter to 0x10000000 and the Size: parameter to 0x0800

    Finally, click the OK button to save the Flash Download settings.

  7. Download the application to Flash.

    Download to Flash ButtonUse the Download to Flash toolbar button to download the application.

After the application has been downloaded, start debugging with ULINK2.
