C8.5.6 Addressing modes in the BPABI DLL-like model
The main difference between the bare metal and Base Platform Application Binary Interface (BPABI) DLL-like models is the addressing mode used when accessing imported and own-program code and data.
There are four options available that correspond to categories in the BPABI
specification:
None.
Direct references.
Indirect references.
Relative static base address references.
You can control the selection of the required addressing mode with the following
command-line options:
--pltgot.
--pltgot_opts.
Note:
The DLL-like model is not supported for AArch64
state.
