Instruction operands are primarily expressions. Expressions consist of numbers, symbols, and operators. The expression is considered absolute, if all components of an expression are known at assembly time, and the expression does not have external or relocatable components. Otherwise, the expression is considered relocatable and the final value is computed by the linker/locator L166. The following chapters describe an expression's components and operators.
