MDK MIDDLEWARE: Noise in MCB4300 USB Audio

SYMPTOM

In the MCB4300 USB Audio example, sound is recorded through the MIC_In line. After resetting the device, a small amount of noise (aka artifacts) is present during playback, and the playback volume increases overall. In addition, the delay before the recording starts is reduced. What is the issue?

CAUSE

The length of time pressing down the reset button was too short. The audio codec did not initialize correctly.

WORKAROUND

Press down on reset button for longer than one second. Then the example will output sound correctly.
