Recently, I bought ULINKPro debugger. I tried to use that. It showed me USB communication failure.
I am confused that whether it is my CPU USB problem or ULINKPro USB problem..
Upto flash downloading working fine but when tried to enter into debug mode, it is showing Cannot access target, Shutdown debug session.
On command window, it is showing error57:illegal address access..USB communication failure.
I have searched for that error and I have put correct flash algorithm and flash download setting, but problem not resolved.
Why there is illegal address accessing....the same program with the same settings worked well for JLink adapter..
Anyone have idea..??
For USB communication failure, I recommend first trying unplug ULINKpro's USB cable from PC, and re-connecting.
If "USB communication failure" persists, we have a troubleshooting that you can step through with the ULINKpro: www.keil.com/.../ulinkpro_trblguide.htm
There is also an issue when using some versions of ST-Link with a ULINKpro, simultaneously: http://www.keil.com/support/docs/3856.htm
For the illegal memory error, refer to the following KB article: http://www.keil.com/support/docs/3508.htm

Crappy, low quality USB Cable? Prime failure mode..
Try a high quality USB 2.0 cable rated for 480 Mbps Try a different USB port Try a different Computer Try a different target board
I used USB cable given with ULINKpro... Is there any chance for low quality cable given with KEIL ULINKPRO?
I tried with different USB port and different system and different KEIL version also....but the same problem persists..
If I use the same code and same target for other JLINK debugger, it is working fine and enters into debug mode also...
What should I do?
Anyone have idea on this problem?
Have you tried calling Keil support with your details and serial numbers? This is primarily a user forum, not a direct support alternative.
The error is specific "USB communication failure", try a high grade shielded cable rated for USB 2.0 HS 480 Mbps. I've seen this with the cable my colleague supplied me with, which worked fine on the JLink but I suspect that only uses a FS 12 Mbps connection.
I have found that the UlinkPro does not work reliably on a USB 3 connection on Windows 10. It does work ok on a USB 2 connection. Maybe Keil should look into this issue.
