Hello everybody, am i correct that the PSRAM of the XC167CI (located at E0'0000 - E0'07FF) is not defined by default when selecting the XC167CI from the device database? Is this intentially? I'm using PK166, V5.05 best regards, Roman
Hi Roman, I think that is intentionally. The 2 Kbytes of PSRAM are provided to store user code or data. It is the users responsibility for what purposes it should be used. The PSRAM itself is accessed via the PMU and is therefore optimized for code fetches. Nevertheless it can be used for data processing too. ( That the application could not know ;-) ). I guess, that is the reason, why no default is given. BTW: It is for all XC166 derivatives the fact, not only XC167CI. Stefan
