Hi any body had know how to design serial addpter for silabs mcu.or any www link. best regards satish munot
You did not indicate what device that you are using. There are two different interfaces to the SiLabs devices. The earlier devices from the C8051F00x family used JTAG. Later Cygnal(SiLabs) used a two wire implementation called the C2 bus. Both are supported with the serial adapter called the EC2. They now have a USB adapter also. There are app notes on the SiLabs Support website discribing both implementation of the JTAG and the C2 bus. If you are attempting to build your own EC2 adapter, it's just not worth the effort. You can buy an eval SiLabs eval kit for less than $50 US with the EC2 and software included. If you are attempting to multiplex the C2 bus lines for some reason, please be aware that the C2CLK line will drive very little capacitance. http://www2.silabs.com/tgwWebApp/public/ web_content/products/Microcontrollers/en/ mcu_applications_appnotes.htm Bradford

I am, on occsion running 3 EC2s from one PC. As usual with SILabs software, there are a few "irritations" such as "open file" not necessarily directed to the files with that particular EC2. One question: while I am reluctant to change horses midstream, I prefer the problems you know to unknown features, is "multiple instances" possible using Keil to dribe EC2s?. Erik
Erik: From the settings box for the SiLabs driver, it looks like you can select different EC2 pods from inside uVision3. It also looks like you can select different devices on a single JTAG chain. I don't have the hardware to test this right now, it appears that they intend to provide the ability to run multiple instances, from uVision3. SJC
