Hi friends, what pc software can i use to connect pc with at89c51.i dont have any idea for this if anyone having idea on this plese mail me. my id is lordwin_cecil@yahoo.co.in
But the simplest is probably to use an RS232 connection to the PC's serial (COM) port.
If the PC doesn't have a serial (COM) port, USB-to-Serial adaptors are readily available and look, to the PC, exactly as a COM port.
You shouldn't need any special software on the PC - just use "Hyperterminal" that is included with Windows (or any other Terminal Emulator of your choice).
Start with the "Hello, World" sample application, and work from there: http://www.keil.com/support/man/docs/uv3/uv3_examples.htm

with the statement from the OP I think it prodent to say that you must use a MAX232(equivalent) connected to the uC

Yes. It is described in the links I provided, but still worthy of specific emphasis!
The generic term is "RS232 Transceiver"
The generic term is "RS232 Transceiver" I know that very well, but use it rarely after a couple of responses in the past "what is a transceiver".
I guess we all started "totally ignorant" and with experience got to "partially ignorant"
