Debug Windows and Dialogs

In Debug Mode, µVision offers the following windows and dialogs:

• Breakpoints allows defining stop conditions for program execution.
• Call Stack and Locals Window shows objects that are currently in the call tree.
• Code Coverage provides statistics about code execution, including branch testing.
• Command Window allows entering and viewing executed commands.
• Disassembly Window allows program testing at the level of assembly instructions.
• Event Viewer displays a history of task-switching events.
• Execution Profiler displays time and call statistics on instruction level.
• Instruction Trace Window shows the instruction history for devices not based on a Cortex-M processor.
• Logic Analyzer displays value changes of peripherals, registers, and variables on a time graph.
• Memory Map displays the memory areas and their access rights.
• Memory Window displays and allows modifying memory content.
• Performance Analyzer displays time and call statistics on module and function level.
• Registers Window shows and allows modifying the register content.
• Serial Window provides a communication interface between the application and the PC.
• Status Bar shows debugging status information.
• Symbols Window shows debug symbol information of the application program.
• System Viewer displays peripheral register information.
• Toolbox provides configurable buttons for executing debugging commands interactively.
• Trace Data Window shows the instruction history for Cortex-M processor-based devices.
• Trace Navigation scrolls through captured trace records.
• Watch Window displays and allows modifying program variable values at runtime.
