There are a number of limitations when debugging target programs with ULINK-ME. Many of these are actually limitations of the architecture of the on-chip debugger.
- ARM7 and ARM9 Devices
The Embedded ICE on these devices supports at most two (2) hardware breakpoints in Flash memory. Breakpoints in RAM are unlimited. - ARM Cortex-M3 Devices
The Embedded ICE on these devices supports at most eight (8) hardware breakpoints in Flash memory. Breakpoints in RAM are unlimited. - Custom Boards and Hardware
ULINK-ME is designed for use in ARM starter evaluation kits. It is not designed to drive custom hardware. For downloading and debugging custom boards and hardware, the ULINK2 USB-JTAG adapter provides all of the capabilities of the ULINK-ME adapter, and more.
