JTAG Device Chain

The section JTAG Device Chain displays the JTAG devices connected to the JTAG interface cable. ULINK2 automatically displays the IDCODE, Device Name, and IR Length of all JTAG-compatible targets it detects.

Target Driver Setup - JTAG Device Chain

Manual Configuration allows the developer to identify and name undetected JTAG devices. Specify the instruction register length (IR len) of each device in the JTAG device chain. The Device Name must begin with a one of the text strings below to identify the core. Characters entered behind the identifier are ignored and can be used for additional information, for example: "ARM7_NXP" or "ARM966_ST".
