MONADI User's Guide

MONADI User's Guide

This User's Guide describes how to configure and use the µVision MONADI debug driver. This driver interfaces to the Analog Devices on-chip Download/Debug Kernel via the serial interface (UART).

All examples are tested with ADuC836 and ADuC846 evaluation boards available from Analog Devices.

This manual contains the following chapters.

  • Introduction gives an overview of the download and debug capabilities with ADuC microcontrollers and discusses the evaluation tools included with the Analog Devices evaluation boards.
  • Programming describes how to write programs for Analog Devices ADuC8xx microcontroller.
  • Hardware Configuration explains how to connect the target board and how to activate the Analog Devices download/debug kernel.
  • Driver Configuration describes the features and options of the MONADI download/debug driver.
  • Example Programs explains how to run the various example projects on an ADuC83x/84x evaluation board.
