Bad Serial Transmission

This message indicates that an error was encountered receiving serial data from the target hardware.

This problem is typically caused by one of the following:

• A faulty serial cable or by mismatched baud rates between the PC's COM port and the serial port of the tartet system.
• A target program that reinitializes the serial interface or changes the direction register for the I/O lines used by the serial interface.
• Attempting to single-step into the serial I/O routines of your application.

Verify that the cable is good and that the baud rates match. Check to see if the target program changes the serial port settings.
