XC800 Interface Connector

An OCDS connector is easily added to the user hardware. The OCDS interface allows application debugging and programming of on-board Flash ROM devices.

The Infineon XC800 device must be wired to the OCDS connector pins as described in the following table.

PinStandard OCDS SignalXC86x Connection
TMSTest mode select input (according to the IEEE 1149.1 Standard)TMS pin: Use 100KOhm pull-up resistor to VCC
TDOTest data output (according to the IEEE 1149.1 Standard)TDO pin

TDITest data input (according IEEE StandardTDI pin: Use 100KOhm pull-up resistor to VCC
TRSTTest reset input (according IEEE Standard 1149.1)TRST/ pin: Use 100KOhm pull-down resistor to GND

The pins TMS, TDO, TDI, TCK, BRKIN, BRKOUT may share I/O Port pins on some of the XC800 series devices. The pins TRST and RESET are open collector outputs on KEIL ULINK with 10K Ohm pull-up resistor to 3.3V (VCC).

Pin Connector OCDS is typically implemented using a 16-pin IDC connector with 0.1 inch (2.54mm) spacing. The connector pin-out is illustrated at the right.
