To use the MCBXC866 Evaluation Board with ULINK, you must:
Verify that the ULINK VCC jumper (inside the ULINK housing) is
connected to Ext VCC.
Connect ULINK to the PC via a standard USB cable.
Connect ULINK to the JTAG connector of the MCBXC866 board.
Make sure that J6 - BTL is OFF.
Connect power to the board using a 6V - 12V DC, 100mA power
supply.
The following picture shows how to connect ULINK to the MCBXC866
board.
Note
If your application program puts the XC866 device in Power Down
or Idle mode, the OCDS in the Infineon XC800 device (and
subsequently the ULINK) stops working. Therefore, do not put
the XC866 device device into the power saving modes during the
software development cycle.
