Infineon Memtool Utility

Infineon provides the Memtool utility for In-System Flash Programming (ISP). The installation files are on the Keil Development Tools CD-ROM. To use Memtool, you must:

• Configure the MCBXC167 Board
• Run the MemTool Program

Configuring the MCBXC167

Before using the Memtool Utility, configure the DIP switches as shown below:



After you change the DIP switch settings, press the RESET button (S12) to reset the MCBXC167 board. Then, connect COM1 of the board to any free COM port on your PC.

Running Memtool

Run Memtool and select the profile for the XC167 controller: Generic Target with SAB XC161CJ\XC164CS\XC167CI-16FF STEP AC in the dialog that pops up.

• As long as port COM1 is selected on your PC, you may keep the default settings under Setup Serial Interface.
• Press Connect.
• You may now use the Flash operation displayed on the right side of the main dialog window.
  Select the HEX file you want to program by clicking on Open File..., press Add Sel. and then Program.
