MCBx51 User's Guide

EPROM

The MCBx51 board comes with a Monitor EPROM (IC13) which supports up to 16 different Monitor versions. You may replace the EPROM with a 27C1001 or 27C2001 for your target program.

If you insert an EPROM with a user application program, the DIP switches PAGE, SCR/D2, 51/151, and Monitor, must be set to OFF. If the Monitor DIP switch is OFF, you may select different memory maps for the user application using the MAP0 and MAP1 DIP switches. For more information, refer to the MAP1 and MAP0 DIP switches descriptions.

The following table lists the Monitor EPROM addresses for the different monitor versions, and contains the EPROM addresses of the 251/151 configuration bytes CONFIG0 and CONFIG1. The Monitor EPROM contains a LJMP 0E800H instruction at address 0 and address 10000H.
