To use the MCBx51 evaluation board, you must:
- Connect the external serial port jack (EXT RS232) to a serial port on your PC using the supplied serial cable.
- Connect to a power supply.
The serial cable downloads program code from the PC and allows you to debug your target applications.
The power cable provides power to the MCBx51 evaluation board. The PC does not provide power through the serial cable.
