Now your program is ready for debugging.

µVision IDE offers a very powerful and comprehensive set of debugging tools designed to make program testing easier and reduce the time it takes to produce a working application.

  1. Start the Debugger.

Start/Stop Debug Button Use the Start/Stop Debug Session toolbar button to start debugging the program.

    Or

  2. The debugger connects to the MCBx51 board and runs the application program. In case of communication problems a dialog box opens that displays further options and instructions.
  3. You may single step through your code and use other debugger features.

For details on the debugging features, refer to the µVision User's Guide.

You can find more information in the C251 Getting Started User's Guide (C:\Keil\C251\hlp\GS51.PDF), Chapter 5. Testing Programs.
