MCBx51 User's Guide

The MCBx51 User's Guide describes the MCBx51 Board and contains detailed operating instructions for the hardware. It also describes the 251 and the 8051 microcontroller software development tools.

  • Introduction gives an overview of the MCBx51 Evaluation Board, hardware and software requirements, where to find information quickly, and where to find Technical Support.
  • Setup shows the MCBx51 Board components, how to connect, configure and use the board, and describes the DIP switches and configuration jumpers.
  • Theory of Operation explaines the components of the MCBx51 board in detail, including the logic equations for the PLD and the memory locations of the different Monitor versions contained in the EPROM.
  • 251 Devices includes Writing Programs for 251 Devices which describes how to write programs and configure your project for debugging for the 251 devices on the MCBx51 board, and
Example Programs for 251 Devices which lists the example programs available on the installation CD and on the Keil website. There are step-by-step instructions on building and running the BLINKY example programs on 251 devices.
  • 8051 Devices includes Writing Programs for 8051 Devices which describes how to write programs and configure your project for debugging for the 8051 applications on the MCBx51 board and
Example Programs for 8051 Devices which lists the example programs available on the installation CD and on the Keil website. There are step-by-step instructions on building and running the BLINKY example programs on 8051 devices.
