Technical Support On-Line Manuals MCBSTR9 User's Guide | Programming FlashThe MCBSTR9 board supports downloading programs to Flash memory using the ULINK USB-JTAG adapter through the JTAG connector.
The ULINK USB-JTAG interface also supports emulation and debug capabilities for the MCBSTR9 board. Programming the STR91x Extended Flash CapabilitiesBy default, the ULINK USB-JTAG adapter downloads Flash to the MCBSTR9 board using the In-System Programming (ISP) interface. This works well for program debugging and testing when setting security bits is not required. But for production, you may want to enable the OTP, User Code, Configuration Bytes, and Chip Security features of the STR91x device. When you enable these special features, you must use the ICP interface to download Flash. To take advantage of this special feature, the MDK-ARM Development Toolkit provides separate Flash algorithms for downloading via the ICP interface. The ICP at the end of the algorithm title identifies the algorithms that download using the ICP interface. The BLINKY example program contains targets that demonstrate using the ISP and ICP algorithms. The STR910 Flash target does not require the advanced security settings and uses the ISP algorithm for downloading. The STR910 Flash with CFG target enables the security bits in the STR91xCFG.s file and therefore must download using the ICP algorithm. | |||||||
