To use the MCB950 Evaluation Board, you must:
- Connect power to the MCB950 Board using a standard USB cable.
- Install the USB Device Driver for the MCB950 Board.
- Configure the COM Port number.
- Verify the COM Connection using Flash Magic.
- Configure the jumpers for Flash Magic: RUN: OFF, RESET: ON.
After the USB Device Driver is installed, you may use the USB to UART Bridge as a standard COM connection. This allows:
- Downloading programs using Flash Magic.
- Viewing UART Output using terminal emulation programs such as HyperTerminal.
- Debugging programs using the ISD51 In-System Debugger, which is included in the Keil PK51 Professional Developer's kit.
Note:
- No additional COM cable is required since the COM communication uses the USB connection.
- The board is a USB-powered device.
As an option, the MCB950 Board provides two debug connectors that interface to the 2-wire pins for the On-Chip Debug System.
